Baby boy has arrived :-)

Evan Thomas was born 6-12-13 at 9:50pm via c-section. He weighed in at 7lbs 10.8 ounces and was 20 inches long.
We had a little bit of a scare and excitement surrounding his birth. I went to my 37w appt on Tuesday the 11th and found that my blood pressure was elevated. I also had a headache for the previous 4 days and baby boys hearrate was too fast.
So off to the hospital we went. I was kept overnight for observation while they ran labs to test for preeclampsia andto see if my headache would go away with meds.
In the morning, the doctor came in and said we would proceed with induction. My labs came back normal but all signs/symptoms pointed to preeclampsia. All was going well with a few doses of miso to get things going. In the evening, the dr came to check my progress and break my water.
I was 3.5cm but she said she felt digits and not a head. They wheeled the ultrasound in and sure enough he had flipped and was now breech.
at that point I was told it was time for a c-section. They won't attempt to deliver a breech baby with preeclampsia.
So I had a little hysterical crying at this point. I was so overwhelmed and scared. Eventually I came to terms, signed papers and was wheeled back. DH came to join me after I was prepped. I don't think the surgery took that long. I was so overcome with joy at hearing Evan's first cry.
Evan spent a couple days in the nicu for fast breathing...very common with c-sections. We were both released from the hospital last night. We are home and adjusting to life with 3 little ones. Its very hard right now with the pain from the c-section. We love Evan so much and are grateful for him in our lives.

Ready for baby boy

Today I am 37 weeks and 1 day pregnant.
I am so beyond excited to meet him. We had a growth ultrasound last week and they estimate him to be 6lb6oz.
If he doesn't come before June 21st, we will be induced that day.
That is simply done as a precaution due to the pre-e with my first.
I have a feeling life is about to get chaotic with 3 under 3 :) but I'm so ready for it.

Third Trimester Update

All is well with baby boy and I.
We had an elective 4D scan last week. It brought me to tears to see my precious boy. He is still breech with his little face buried in my ribs but we got some good shots.

To be 32 weeks and a day has me feeling incredibly blessed. So far this pregnancy has been smooth sailing. Heartburn is coming back to me but all else is well.
My blood pressure has been stable and there are no signs of him coming early. I am so grateful.
If all continues to go well, we will be induced somewhere around June 21st. I am so excited and so ready to meet him.
I am so sorry for slacking on blogging. Life is hectic with 2 (about to be 3) under 3. I have also gone back to school full-time. My plate is very full :)

Baby #3 is a....

sweet baby boy :)

We are so excited to be adding another sweet boy to our family. He is as healthy as can be and everything looks great.
We go back on Tuesday for a rescan because baby was rolled over and they couldn't properly visualize all they needed to.
June 28th cannot come quickly enough for us. Cecili.a will probably be jealous since she'll be 15 months when he's born but I'm hoping she adjusts well.

17 weeks pregnant

I am 17 weeks pregnant (tomorrow). I am so excited.
Our BIG ultrasound is on Tuesday. I cannot wait to find out if baby is a boy or girl. I've thought baby was a boy from the beginning but lately I find myself leaning towards girl.
This baby has me totally confused on gender. I find I crave sweets (like I did with my daughter) but also french fries and salads (like with my son). I'm also able to eat meat this time around (Couldn't eat meat with either of my other babies).
Ready to see how much baby has changed from our last official ultrasound. I leave you with a 12week ultrasound photo.
